Hello, I am having the same issue. Google Webmaster Tools is showing duplicate meta descriptions on the /blog/tags*,/blogs/categories*, ect. I read the above response but could not decipher a solution from it. Can you please be more clear about the solution is.

I am sorry I can't access your FTP.

Can you change your view.html.php files in ..\components\com_easyblog\views\categories and in ...\components\com_easyblog\views\tags with attached files. Please remove all description include the bracket for these files first. And also I'm not really sure the exact meta keyword/desciption for these two pages. You can change Category Listings and List Of Category in line 32 and line 33 for categories file and Tags Listings and List of Tags in line 26 and line 27 for Tags file.

Thanks for the response. I replace the two files you included, but still do not see where I can set individual meta descriptions for pages like /tags, categories, etc. Can you please give more detail?

If you want change meta descriptions for tag, you just replace List of Tags in ...\components\com_easyblog\views\tags\view.html.php : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-18_1259.png

For categories meta descriptions, change List of Category in ..\components\com_easyblog\views\categories\view.html.php : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-18_1311.png

You don't need to add meta description when creating new tag/category. Because I've already modify it to get the tag/category title.

The changes that he performed is to use a different meta description for these views. If there is a custom description set under the metas section of EasyBlog, it would be used instead.
