Hi Everybody,

I just updated to ES 1.3.13 and after the upgrade lots of popups and drop-downs are not working anymore.

-> Easysocial Dropdown Menu
-> Easysocial Toolbar
-> Hover on Users / Tooltip
-> (...)

As this is really urgent for me I have providet you all Login-Data for a superadmin.
I would be very pleased by a quick solution. In the moment, the login does not work and users can´t read PM and much more ...

All the best, Julian!
Hello Julian,

I believe the reason that you are hitting this issue because you did not complete the installation after uploading the installer file. You need to proceed with the installation but since you have Akeeba Backup installed, I believe Akeeba somehow resets the installation completed message. Hence, you can't view the message to request you to complete the installation.

Julian, this note may be helpful if you are using Akeeba Backup Professional's "enhanced" installer which replaces Joomla's standard installer in order to provide "System Restore Points". If you are, could disable that for now, just unpublish the plugin or click on the "Back to regular installer" link on the bottom of the extension installer page to deactivate the System Restore Points temporarily. Check out this image to see what I'm referring to [/i]http://www.screencast.com/t/Uio6efWKuW When Akeeba Backup Professiona's "enhanced" installer is disabled you'll be using the regular ol' fashioned Joomla installer and restore points will not be set as you install extensions such as ES.

Hi Mark,

thanks for fixing it. For future challenges:

Yes, I have Akeeba installed, but I did see the "post-installation-message".
To be precise: When I tried to update EasySocial au tomatically from the ES-Backend, it run into an Error with the message I should upload the new launcher.

When I tried to install it the good old fashioned way by uploading the launcher, I got the message with the "complete installation", when I clicked on it it ran again into the question to download ES from the network and ... the launcher error.

I don´t want to try this out now, because in the moment it works. However, I am not sure if the "completation message" that you mean is really not shown. The Error that I had came up later ... but still, the installation was not completed.

@Eileen:

I also use PowerAdmin and I have Akeeba installed, but I don´t see that any "professional installer" is installed. I only use Akeeba in a free/old version. In J3 the backend looks a little bit different, but I guess I would have a message if Akeeba would "improve" anything:

So I am not really sure if the completation realy "hang" on Akeeba.
(I don´t want to test it).

Mark, what have you been doing to make it work? Did you temporarily disable Akeeba?

All the best, Julian!

Hello Julian,

I believe Mark has disabled Akeeba before the installation. You might want to follow the Eileen reply as well.
