When a user receives an email notification, there are two senders mentioned in the header of the email (see screenshot 1)

one is good (hobbyspotters), as set in the configuration of easyblog (or komonto by the way. Komento has this same problem). (see screenshot 2 for easyblog notification setting in the backend)

the other email adres mentioned, is something of the reseller name of the complete vps server....I have no idea were he gets this from?
see attached screenies. That second sender email adres must be removed from the outgoing emails, but I dont know how. It does not even work if someone tries to send a mail to it...

somebody any suggestions?
Small extre note I found out just a few minutes ago:

Easy Discuss has the same problem on my sites.

It is only those three components. I also run jomsocial and notifications of jomsocial do not mention the second email adres as sender in the email....
it are only the notifications of easyblog, komento and easy discuss.....(it looks like though)

Hello Cbais,

I'm not sure what you meant correct me if I'm wrong, you are saying that there is an external email which is receiving act as the sender for your mail? Can you please provide us with the Joomla back end access as well as the FTP access so that I can check on the issues on your site?

Thanks:)

Good morning,

The screenshot I shows was from roundcube webmail on the server. If I look at the notification emails at the header of the email via thunderbird, it is stated (only partial copied):

Return-path: < hspot@srv1.cbais.nl >
Envelope-to: info@cbais.nl

It is that return path that is absolutly wrong. That is somewhere taken from the alround server configuration. hspot is the directadmin name and the srv1.cbais.nl is the name my vps server provider has given the complete server (domainname). that is not a working email adres user can respond to...

People cannot answer to that adres. I have not filled in that adres anywhere in joomla. (simple reason: it is non existing!)

I think that the email header should look like something like this:
Return-path: < info@hobbyspotters.nl >
Envelope-to: info@cbais.nl

and off course, the info@cbais.nl is the user email adres....

attached info...

edit: somehow the returnpath value is not displayed in this forum reply when I save it, therefor also in text:
the return-parth is stated as hspot (add) srv1.cbais.nl, and that is not correct. it should be info (add) hobbyspotters.nl

I also digged into this a bit more...

I have no idea why only the stackideas components have this problem, and jomsocial does not, but I do know for almost 80% certain, that it has (again!) something to do with the server configuration and I Think I have to search the sollution there first, before You guys invest time in this....

I will get back on this matter. Hopefully I can find a sollution at server side.....
