Hi,

I use komento with easyblog.
Now I don't want to show the "Overall Rating" above the comments and "Rate this item:" inside the comment.
But where are the settings for this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Chris

hey christian,
there's a missing file in the latest komento so that you won't find the setting to disable it right now.
however you can find a fix for this here: http://stackideas.com/forums/rating-item-and-no-need-for-email-even-though-it-s-required

hope that helps

once you uploaded that file (before this you don't see it at all) go to komento backend -> integrations -> joomla (or the component you want to set up) -> workflow and there you should see it.

hope that helps

Hello Alex,

thanks, now it works perfect.
But now I have a problem with the Komento comment plugin.
I have a copy of my live web-Site running on a localhost for testing first.
When Iinstalled Komento I don't realize an issue because I only Movies inside the blog menu.
After Running the localhost again, now I don't get access to the Root of the site, because a 500 error occurs.
If I disable the Komento comment Plugin it is perfect.
But at the moment ao enabling the Plugin I get a white site.
I enable the joomla debugg item, but there is nothing show with this issue.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Christian Haupt,

Thanks for getting back to us that issues already resolved.

That's strange, Can you temporary upload your test site to live site so we can help you check on this?

Also, can you turn on the error_reporting to Maximum from your backend > System > Global configuration > server and see what error message you hitting.
Please advise.

Hello Arlex,

thanks for your hint about error_reporting.
Now I get the following error message:

Strict Standards: Declaration of JParameter::loadSetupFile() should be compatible with JRegistry::loadSetupFile() in C:\xampp\htdocs\j25on\libraries\joomla\html\parameter.php on line 512

Fatal error: Class 'Services_JSON' not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\j25on\components\com_komento\classes\registry.php on line 175

I hope the second message will help you to get a solution.

Thanks and regards

Chris

Hello Christian,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Please can you tell me what is going wrong.

Thanks

Hello Chris,

Sorry for late reply to this,
As Mark have explained what he applied the fixes in this file /components/com_komento/classes/json.php previous reply,

I have tried to access in your Joomla backend, but getting blank page, can you try turn on the error reporting from your JoomlaFolder/configuration.php then modify to

public $error_reporting = 'maximum';

And see what error you hitting, if when you load the page still getting blank page, can you consult this with your Webhosting provider regarding this happening and you getting 500 error in your frontpage.

Is it possible provide us with your FTP access as well? Please advise.

Hello Arlex,

I have replaced the file /components/com_komento/classes/json.php to the old one.
Now I have access to the backend.
Then I have updated to komento 1.8.2.
On the frontend I get the error: Fatal error: Class 'Services_JSON' not found in /../joomla/components/com_komento/classes/registry.php on line 175 with an error 500 and a white page.
Please consider, that I have to know what changes you have made, because this is not my live site but a test site.

Hello Chris,

Can you provide us with the FTP access to this test site? Once I rectified this issue, I will re-post the fix here (Perhaps this issue could be server / extension specific because I cannot reproduce this error on my end)

Hello Mark,

sorry, but do you mean an ftp access directly to the server or the FTP function in joomla?

Hello Chris,

I can't seem to login to your site's back end. This is the error that I am getting, http://screencast.com/t/5O1cpyzxmQR . Seems to be coming from your plugin loginalert . Also, on the front end if I try to login, I hit this,

Fatal error: Cannot access protected property JException::$code in /volume1/web/joomla/templates/mc_login/error.php on line 12

Hello Mark,

sorry for the trouble.
I can't replicate the error you got.
I disable the plugin, which seems the error source.
Please try it again and i keep one's fingers crossed for you that you get access.

Hi Chris,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I've re-apply the fix on your site and now you no longer hit blank page after login to your site Below is the file I've modified:

JOOMLA/components/com_komento/classes/json.php at line 60:

if(!defined('SERVICES_JSON_SLICE')){

and replaced the above with:

if(!class_exists('Services_JSON')){

Please try again now
Hope this help and have a nice day

Hello Chris,

Do you mean the "featured" listing above the blog listings? You need to feature your blog post first

Hello Mark,

thanks, but I don't understand, what to do.
In the documentation (Title) it is written:
Frontpage Blog Layout

This is the default menu item which gets created during the installation of EasyBlog. It displays the list of blog posts contributed to the site and a nice slider module on the site.
.
Please can you give me a little hint.

Thanks.

Hello Chris,

As what my colleague mentioned, you have to feature your blogpost here: http://screencast.com/t/CZJ3rggc . Click on the star icon to feature. I've featured one blog post for example. Please have a look on your blog page. Hope this helps.
