Hello dear stackideas team,
I understand the need of only one registered domain for support reasons.
Is it possible to first install the package on a developer subdomain (not public), but change the registration later to another "live" site (public) domain?
Best regards and many thanks in advance for a fast reply
Hello Christian,

Yep, as long as the dev site matches the new site, we are more than happy to change it for you. We have been abused by customers where they enter abc.com and develop more than a dozen of different websites and requesting support on that single domain but on different websites.

This would be a clear abuse of our support

Hi, so we have our public site which is live and we have our test subdomain which we play around on to see if our changes work before rolling them out to the live environment.

Do we have to have 2 licenses for that now?

Hello Mike,

You can always request us to change from dev to live domain and we'll change it for you provided that our support was not abused

Hello ...

I found this thread and have a question. I have support for groopa.org. i am testing easysocial on another site. i have the exact same curly cron command string and have changed the site path, but the cron does not seem to be pulling down the e-mail messages. the cron is functioning properly. do i need to purchase another license for another site?

Thanks and stay safe ... Christoph

Hello Christoph,

The cron has nothing to do with licensed domain. The licensed domain is mainly for services like single click updater, languages and access to our support. I believe you might have setup the wrong cron url.

Hello ...

I have support at groopa.com for easy social, but have also installed it on another site some time ago and it was functioning without problems. I understand your single site policy and also understand the abuse many would take advantage of. Can I change support to the problem site?

The difficulty is that when I login, it is directed to the main community stream, but it keeps grinding away and the streams do not appear. I thought of resolving it by reinstalling the current version 3.2.24, but installation failed do to "Extracting component files -- Failed." Otherwise EasySocial functions in all other areas.

I believe I have never abused your support services. Can you give me a resolution suggestion or switch my support, or do I need to purchase another license?

Thanks ... Christoph

Check all your folder and file permissions...

Install Admin Tools Core for Joomla and run that, should help you resolve your install issue and activity feed problem

Hello Mike Griffin ...

Thank you for your quick reply. I would have never guessed to check for file permissions. Indeed, I found the file permission for "default.html" had for some unknown reason changed to 444. Fixing this to 644 resolved the problem. Thank you very much for your help ... !

Best and stay safe ... Christoph
