Hello,

APP_USER_CALENDAR_CREATED_NEW_EVENT="%1$s added a %2$s in %3$s %4s"
does not miss the sign $ to %4s ?

APP_USER_CALENDAR_UPDATED_EVENT="%1$s updated %2$s in %3$s %4s"
does not miss the sign $ to %4s ?
Hey Christian,

Thanks for reported, i think you can ignore this language constant is because we no longer use these in current version, will remove these in next release version.

So the translations that I made directly on fr-FR.com_easysocial will not be taken into account in next release version??

Yes, is it you encounter this issue on your site frontend it doesn't translated it correctly with the French language?

I did not understand your last answer.
I am doing translation modifications in the fr-FR.com_easysocial, because there are translations in French that does not mean anything.
I wanted to know: what I'm doing currently will always work after your future easysocial update?

J'ai pas compris votre dernière réponse. Je suis entrain de faire des modifications de traduction dans le fr-Fr.com_social, car il y a des traductions en français qui ne veut rien dire. Je voulais savoir : ce que je fais actuellement fonctionnera toujours après votre future mise à jour d'easysocial?

The language string that you have highlighted is no longer in use, so you do not need to translate them. This string will be removed from the language file in the next release

Another question: sometimes I find language strings in fr-FR.com_easysocial but I do not find them in the file en-GB.com_easysocial, where can they be?

Autre question : des fois je trouve des chaines de langues dans fr-FR.com_easysocial mais je ne les trouve pas dans le fichier en-GB.com_easysocial, où es-ce qu'elles peuvent être?

If they are not in the en-GB.com_easysocial.ini file, you can discard the string altogether.

so if they do not display in the en-GB.com_easysocial.ini, is that you deleted them?

donc si elles ne s'affichent pas dans le en-GB.com_easysocial.ini, c'est que vous les avez supprimés?

Yes, that is correct. The language string should exists on /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini , otherwise it is no longer in use.

Ok.

Another question :

I happen to find this: %1s in fr-FR.com_easysocial, while in en-GB.com_easysocial it's in this form: %1$s. Should I replace it with the form in en-GB in the file fr-FR?

exemple :
fr-FR.com_easysocial :
APP_USER_FEEDS_STREAM_CREATED_NEW_FEED="%1s a ajouté un nouveau flux"
en-GB.com_easysocial :
APP_USER_FEEDS_STREAM_CREATED_NEW_FEED="%1$s added a new feed"

should I replace like this:

fr-FR.com_easysocial :
APP_USER_FEEDS_STREAM_CREATED_NEW_FEED="%1$s a ajouté un nouveau flux"

Hi Christian,

Yes that is correct. The dollar ($) sign is required for the variable passed to the string to be output correctly.

Ok.

I just found this:

fr-FR.com_easysocial :
APP_USER_LINKS_ACTIVITY_LOG_SHARED_A_LINK="A partagé <a href="_QQ_"%1$s"_QQ_" target="_QQ_"blank"_QQ_">un lien</a>"

en-GB.com_easysocial
APP_USER_LINKS_ACTIVITY_LOG_SHARED_A_LINK="Shared <a href='%1$s' target='_blank'>a link</a>"

Why is there a difference between fr-Fr and en-GB?

The _QQ_ appears in the fr-FR, but not in the en-GB?

This _QQ_ is actually generate from Transifex server.

This "_QQ_" represent to single quote ' , you can just ignore these from the translation word.

I would recommended that translate to this, so you can do less work.
[gist type="php"]
APP_USER_LINKS_ACTIVITY_LOG_SHARED_A_LINK="A partagé <a href="_QQ_"%1$s"_QQ_" target="_QQ_"blank"_QQ_">un lien</a>"
[/gist]

ok i will use your code.

Another question :

I do not understand the difference between these two sentences :

APP_USER_PHOTOS_NOTIFICATIONS_LIKES_YOUR_PROFILE_PHOTO_PLURAL="%1$s reacted to your profile picture"
APP_USER_PHOTOS_NOTIFICATIONS_LIKES_YOUR_PROFILE_PHOTO_SINGULAR="%1$s reacted to your profile picture"

is the plural for %1$s (which I have to consider in the plural)?
where
is the plural for pictures (which I must consider in the plural)?

Hm, I don't think this string is used any longer.

Plural = more than 1 or 0 (User A and User B)
Singular = 1 (User A)

This was actually requested from users with a different localization because according to them, plural and singular sentences are different.

In France, the plural and the singular are different.
so if I understand correctly, I have to put the strings of character PLURIAL by considering that %1$s is at least two?

En France, le pluriel et le singulier est différent.
donc si j'ai bien compris, je dois mettre les chaînes de caractère PLURIAL en considant que %1$s soit au minium deux?

Yes, that is correct.

So the end result will be :
APP_USER_PHOTOS_NOTIFICATIONS_LIKES_YOUR_PROFILE_PHOTO_PLURA
-> User A and User B reacted to your profile picture.

APP_USER_PHOTOS_NOTIFICATIONS_LIKES_YOUR_PROFILE_PHOTO_SINGULAR
-> User A reacted to your profile picture.
