I use AdSense on most of my websites. Normally I will use a module for AdSense, either in the left-hand column, header or bottom. However, I think it's always beneficial if you can integrate the AdSense into a blog post if possible. For the life of me, I have not been able to get the integrated AdSense to work. It says not to put sign code in, which I have done. However, no AdSense shows up on my blog, only the AdSense that is contained in the left-hand module, and that is nothing to do with the blog
Hello Penn,

Yes it does, it's probably because you may have entered an incorrect code or misconfigured it or Google has not activated your adsense account yet. Also, are there any other adsense on the same page? Google only allows a maximum of 3 ads per page.

I am very familiar with AdSense, I've been using it for the last couple of years, maybe longer and have it on various websites. I've never been able to get it to work on the blog today. Of course I am aware of the three ad limit to a single page. At the moment I don't have any AdSense on my blog page. Still nothing

There are three settings,

Enable Google AdSense: I have this set to "yes"
the other two settings below are set to no

I have followed the instructions on the page, making sure that part of the normal code is not included but it still will not work

Hello Penn,

I am sorry but I didn't have any doubts about your expertise in Google Adsense but I am speaking out of experience that these are some of the most common issues. I can't really tell what the issue is unless I have access to the site to debug this. I also need to have the code snippet that you are trying to embed too.

Sorry if I came across as being a little abrupt, that certainly wasn't my intention :-)

I'll let you have the information I used. I mess around also with the settings again and see if there's anything that I may have missed

Hi there,

You can use the information below to access my website. As files I can see, the AdSense code is entered correctly, however you may see something that isn't setup right.

Regards

Hello Penn,

it looks like the option " Allow blogger to set their own codes" is enabled. When this option is enabled, EasyBlog will try to look for the settings from the blogger instead. I have disabled this so that EasyBlog will use the global settings from EasyBlog.

In your blogger settings, it looks like you have configured the placement to be "User specified" and when this option is activated, you need to use {eblogads} to add the ads in the content. Otherwise you should set a different placement. Anyway disabling the option above would also mean that EasyBlog wouldn't look at the author's settings.

Hi there Mark,

Thank you for sorting out the problem for me. Not quite sure what I did, I am pretty sure I'd tried every setting there was without a Luck. Anyway, it looks as though when you use the "both" setting it is putting the ban our unit in the top and bottom module position on the template.. The only problem with this is that the banner is offset to the left. If I put in some < center > Tags, will these work? I like having an AdSense banner within the actual blog just about the comments, but I would like it aligning to the centre. I would imagine that I can now simply put in some AdSense into the existing modules, either the top or the bottom, probably the top actually. But as you can see, I've been able to online this year it to the centre.

I suppose I should have tried doing it before sending you this message, however I'll send you this message I make you aware of I'll experiment myself. So if you check out the unit is aligned to the centre, you'll know that the code works okay.

Thanks again for your help mark.

Hello Penn,

Hm, if you need to center the ads, you'll probably need to customize the theme file. You can edit it from /components/com_easyblog/themes/default/blog.adsense.php

Mark,

I can confirm that adding any extra code to the existing AdSense code doesn't work at all, in fact it rejects any code. So, would it be possible that some stage to adapt this portion so that the AdSense units are aligned to the centre, or maybe just put in something that you can choose that one line it to the centre?

Penn,

You don't actually add them in the form at the back end. You need to customize the theme file as posted above

Actually Mark, I think the ban is set off to the left is actually better than aligning its the centre. Why? Because directly above is the Facebook like button. If people are clicking on the like button, they might just click on the AdSense out of curiosity, especially F the ads are showing something that is related to their search history. So in fact I think I will leave things as they are. In case you're wondering, I'm actually using the banner inside the blog, this means that it doesn't matter which blog people are looking at, there is going to be an AdSense unit there. I don't think the bottom ad unit on the blog will do very well to be perfectly honest with you.
