I was wondering if there are module positions in EasyDiscuss, and if so any documentation?

It would be great to see EasyDiscuss and Easyblog following the same Left sidebar format to add modules to keep a nice consistent feel to sites using all three extensions.

With tablets becoming more common screen real estate becomes an issue. And adding modules takes up screen space, but the way EasySocial allows modules to be added on the left sidebar area instead of having to use the templates module positions makes a site cleaner looking.
Hello Randall,

Sorry for the late reply as it's the weekends. We do have a few module positions in EasyDiscuss, however we have not created any documentation for this yet Please try this in your site to check the available module position.

http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&tp=1

You should go to your backend -> Template Manager, click on Options button, "Preview Module Positions" option is set to Enabled. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Position: easydiscuss-before-toolbar [ Style: none outline]

Position: easydiscuss-after-toolbar [ Style: none outline]

It would be great to see a similar left side page sidebar added to EasyDiscuss and EasyBlog to match the left sidebar in EasySocial.

Hello Randall,

Thanks for the information here For now sidebar module positions aren't so feasible as we do not have any sidebar usage in EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss. However we will check out this possibility

Cheers!

hey Jan,

It seems we missed this section in our Easydiscuss documentation page.

To find which module position available in Easydiscuss 4, you can follow my instruction below :

1. Enabled module position from backend > extension > template > Option button > module position - YES
2. Go to Easydiscuss page > add ?tp=1 code in the URL
For example : http://site.com/discussion?tp=1

Hope this help.
