Unfortunately right now it's not possible to search with hashtags or stream content as we do not have an adapter for this currently. It's mainly because if we are indexing those stream items, I believe it would definitely hog up the smart search in Joomla as stream items are generated quite heavily.

This situation persists? Actually Im facing the same issue and it is very bad in my opinion. Definetelly a HUGE flaw in this very good component. Specially for business and teamwork use of the platform.

There is a kind of known workaround to get the stream content indexed for search?
