Hello guys!

I would like to ask the community:
Did you get also new issues or problems after every update? I also asked this in a support ticket, but never get any answer.

I really wonder about this, because the guys from Stackideas giving a perfect support service, almost every time very fast and very professional.

I hope to find some answers, because I get a bit frustrated and insecure about the upcoming updates!
It's true that with each update I tend to find a new issue. However some times it's old issues that existed in past versions that were never fixed due to no one reporting them.

So while new issues do arrive, I have full confidence in the stacked team in resolving any new issues that arise (they've been able to solve even the scary looking ones). In the ES 1.2 series there have been some very good improvements while these updates are coming through. After years of working with extensions and working with computers I have finally accepted the idea that I will always see computer issues. Even in the core of Joomla (trust me, even in the newest version they are there and noticeable). What version of ES are you currently using? At least for me ES 1.2.14 is the most stable release I've seen.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -Mahatma Gandhi

In other words, to have as few bugs as possible, you need to step up to the plate and report them as you see them. Or at least document them in some form and report them when appropriate. So take for example, with ES 1.3 on the horizon if you want the ES 1.3 series to be rock solid, we need to step in and make sure it works with our servers.

I'll end by saying that while there are bound to be issues, the stacked team has provided what I deem as the best Joomla extension ever made. I have looked through thousands and know the JED better than most people.

Hello Manuel,

Your issue is purely because the translations on Transifex hasn't been updated yet (I believe Russian?) It has nothing to do with the extension itself. We have been performing tons and tons of speed improvements to EasySocial and the latest one includes merging most of the language files into a single language file instead.

Just in case you guys are wondering, the 1.2.14 has tons of speed improvements and I would say we reduced about 40% page load time. In other words, your site would load 40% faster now

I agree that these changes should be made into beta and if you think about it, which software company in this world would release so many releases in a month? It's very costly to keep releasing new releases because we spend our time fixing / testing / developing / releasing rather than working on development. Our priority now is to ensure that you guys get the best out of EasySocial

@Josh Lewis
Thank you Josh for your great answer and I agree to almost everything you say. I use 1.2.14 and yes it is the almost stable version.
My insecure is, that after the last 4 updates I had trouble with registration and or profile editing. In our case we could not check every important function, every time for every profile-type (as example). It does not matter that much if there are small bugs and as I already said, the Stackideas support is absolute great.

I still think that EasySocial is the greatest component on the hole Joomla market, but I think if others get the same experiences with updates like I did with the last versions, there should or could be changed something

@Mark

My only Russian word I know is "niet" - just kidding! My language file is german, so I have to wait for the update. I see this is not a bug or a real issue this time.
Mark your work and the work from the complete Stackideas team is more then I ever could imagine. As I wrote before: it makes me a bit insecure in updating if main functions like registration or profile editing are not working after updates.
At the moment it looks like that this is just something about my installation so it does not matter that much.

A 40% faster page load time is absolute fantastic and I don`t know any person who will not like that.

Keep on going "Stackideas", we almost love everything you do!
