Hi,

I would like to create a field which only an Admin or Moderator can see and enter. And show it on the profile only when filled. Is this possible and, if so, how can it be done?

Thanks
Hi Gautam,

Is this an EasyBlog related question(this thread is created under EasyBlog's category)? Is sounds like you are referring to custom fields on EasySocial.

If you are referring to EasySocial, fields are shown on profile edit page only when filled. However, it is not possible to only show custom fields to admin/moderators and not to other users.

Hi Raymond,

Yes, this is about EasySocial. Let me give you the specific use case. I want to add the Date of Death field to a profile. But that field's edit/entry option should only be visible to admin/moderators only. And visible to other viewers only when filled.

Hello Gautam,

Yes, it is possible and you can set the field's visibility as you can see here, https://take.ms/APMDd . By doing this, the field will not appear when the user edits their profile but if you edit the user from the back-end, you will see the field.

By the way, I have moved this post into the relevant category instead of EasyBlog's category.
