How do you display a caption for an image in EasyBlog? For a Joomla article, the style "caption" and text in the title is sufficient. This doesn't work in EasyBlog.
Hello David,

By using "Insert/Edit Image" from editor, it actually doesn't upload images into the server but using the existing images that already on the net and display it on your site. You need to use Insert Media from media manager in order to upload your own images. You can further read here: http://stackideas.com/blog/new-media-manager-for-easyblog-3-6 .

Regarding, "EasyBlog Media Manager must store images in a different location." Easyblog Media Manager stored the images in : ...\images\easyblog_images\(userID).

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hello David,

You can add your caption during creating a blog post: http://screencast.com/t/sPp5Rc3qigv and add a caption here: http://screencast.com/t/vHUMcTT9 . Hope this helps.

Hello Nick

I don't want to have to use Screencast or any other product, if possible. As "caption" is possible with Joomla core, then this should surely be available as standard with EasyBlog. See the caption on [url=http://www.broadstoneresidents.org.uk/index.php/news/85-poole-councillor-judy-butt-in-shock-sacking-from-cabinet][/urlNews item] for example.

Hello David,

I am sorry but I quite not understand what do you want to achieved here.
Easyblog is already have the caption function and you do not need use other product. You can set the image caption simply by adding caption during creating a blog post. You can add your caption during creating a blog post: http://screencast.com/t/sPp5Rc3qigv and add a caption here: http://screencast.com/t/vHUMcTT9 . Hope this helps.

Screencast is a software to capture your screenshot. I think you misunderstand what my colleague trying to explain.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Oops! You're right. I DIDN'T understand at all!

I now see where I have been doing this incorrectly. I have been using the "Insert/Edit Image" from the editor to include images. The example you show me is done via "Insert Media".

I have never used "Insert Media" and need to start using this from now on. However, my images are stored via the Joomla Media Manager. I assume that the EasyBlog Media Manager must store images in a different location.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks again

Actually, after inserting a new image, I see that I can use "easyblog-image-caption" in "classes" in the Image Manager, and this also inserts a caption. This saves me from making too many changes.
