Hey gang, I see that we can sort Discussions within a Group by clicking on All, Unanswered, Resolved, and Locked. Since a Group within a social network isn't always going to be about resolving issues like support tickets, is there a way to change these, add to them, alter them so that they make more sense relative to our needs?

Thanks!
Hello Troy,

You can probably rename them if you want in the language file but you can't actually add other filters to the existing filters currently

Oh... ok. Thanks. I'll add this to feature requests. One thing that I didn't realize before buying these services is that discussions are designed more like a support service platform, and not a social or actual discussion platform. Is that the case with EasyDiscuss, as well? I wrote to pre-sales a few days ago asking about this, but no response. I was hoping to scrap Kunena for EasyDiscuss.

(where would that language file be? I'll experiment. Thanks!)

Hello Troy,

Yes, EasyDiscuss also has these features and you can actually alter this in the language file EasyDiscuss is actually a hybrid between a traditional forum and Q&A system. If you are referring to EasySocial, you can modify the language file in /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini

Thank you! So does EasyDiscuss allow for Category, Forum, Sub-forum (as in, say, ASTROLOGY > Houses > House 1 Forum, House 2 Forum, House 3, etc.)

(I'm using en_US, but get the gist.)

Hello Troy,

Yep, that's correct. You can create multi tiered level categories in EasyDiscuss You can play around with our demo to get a better idea on how it actually works.

Is there anyway to tie EasyDiscuss to Groups within EasySocial? That way we could take advantage of all the capabilities of EasyDiscuss? We are finding ourselves using EasyDiscuss for "Groups" because of the limitations of the discussion piece within EasySocial.
