I've test to replicate this locally (EasySocial version 2.0.10) Seems like the discussion from closed group was not shows for public stream.
May I know how to access your Joomla backend?so we can try replicate this issue in your site?
because when I try to access it, it always redirect me to your home webpage.

You can add the information needed by edit your first post in the Details section or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

My apologies - I've just some further testing and found that it was an ACL / Profile issue and i've tested with a new member account and it is working exactly as it should.
