I am able to replicate this locally on Echo template. I will report this bug to the designers so they can have this fixed.
In the meantime, I have helped you apply the custom css codes below into the following file to fix the issue: JoomlaFolder/templates/echo/css/custom.css

.com_easydiscuss #ed.ed-mod.m-welcome .ed-mod__section {

    display: inherit;

}

Your ED welcome module should be displaying fine now. Give it a check and let us know how it goes, thanks.
