Disabling "friend" feature of EasySocial?

Is there any way to disable the "friending" and possibly even the follow functionality of EasySocial?
One site I am planning has not requirement for this feature at all so I would like for it to be disabled.
Please advise. Thank you.
I also need disable this feature for a small community.
If I use easysocial as a enterprise community the friend feature is limited users.

Hello guys,

Currently it's not possible to turn this feature off because if you turn this feature off, some of the functionality like "mentions" wouldn't work really well since mentions relies on your friends Perhaps in the future we can switch this so that mentions could work with either friends or followers / following instead.

What if "mentions" is not required either? Can we not simply disable it all?

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Mentions is just an example of the elements that reply on "friends". However by itself mentions is not made to be turned off either. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.
