Users can now repost video and audio items

What I can say is this was a missing feature in Easysocial earlier version.

Because the previous Easysocial version only available users to repost the item from the stream item instead of a single video/audio entry page.

Hmm, currently we do not have a plan to add a setting to turn off this repost function in Easysocial yet, perhaps for now you can request this on our voice page https://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial .

Hi,
in general, the repost is a useful feature. The key point is that when a user makes a repost , they share the post in their personal profile. And this is the correct behavior. The user has the right to manage their personal timeline.
But when a user shares a post and it is displayed in groups, pages, events, or a dashboard, they manage a group that does not belong to them, a timeline dashboard, and so on. This is incorrect and may provoke unscrupulous users to abuse it.

And even if you do not abuse it, at the moment 100 users can easily form a timeline in a group of 100 identical publications.

I completely agree with you Kirill.
My users abuse this feature to restart their post, if they haven't received a response.
This is a real problem

Partially solves this problem function added in easysocial 3.2.24:

When reposting activity stream items from Groups, Pages or Events, EasySocial will now prompt the user to choose the location to repost to

In the template code, you can hide the ability to select a repost on a page or group.
By default, the user profile is selected.

And for the dashboard, only if you set the privacy "Default rule for other item" only for me. But then, in the user's personal profile, the reposts will be displayed only for me.
