Is there any way to disable the cover image on the profile? I thought I had seen this mentioned, but can't find it.
Hi Philip,

If you do not wish that your users be prompted during registration to add the avatar, you can also disable it in the Profiles, that is, Profiles >> Registered Users >> Custom Fields >> Appearance. Just edit Appearance and disable "Appear During Registration". I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but hope it helps.

Best Regards,
James

Hi,

Sorry but currently Profile Cover is a mandatory feature and cannot be disabled.

Currently the nearest solution that you can do is to go to Themes -> Profiles and disable the profile cover from showing.

Hi Jason -- can you help shed some light on this? I'm confused as to why both an avatar and a cover photo would be mandatory. Both of these seem like they should be optional. Especially for the cover photo seeing that you specifically have an option to disable it from the profile (which is a great feature). I have it disabled on my profile on my website and I obviously do not want users to be prompted for it during registering.

Same goes for the avatar too... That should also be optional.

Any help you could provide on getting this fixed would be great.

Thanks,
Philip
