Hi Guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to disable the creation of the default (categories and) posts upon installation of #EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss, any help is appreciated.

Chaim
Hi CK,

Yes it is possible but you need to manually modify the code in order to achieve this. First you need to download full installer from stackideas dashboard. After that unzip the installer and go to the /setup/controllers/install.post.php and look for method @createSamplePost at line 337 and add "return" inside the function to skip the post creation upon installation. After that zip back the installer and install it via extension manager.

Hi Ezrul,

Which packages does that apply to (would I have to modify)?

Why not add an option to install sample data, vs forcing it to be installed on a site (especially if it is a live site)?

Hi CK,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

You need to modify full installer package in order to achieve this.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will see if we can include this as a new feature in the future release of easyblog.
