direct access to the author page is for registered users

Hi there,


When clicking the author name , i got 404.

Disregarding this issue i added another menu item that directs to jomsocial change profile page. after that, when clicking on the author page it directed me to the author page with the new item alias ,provided I am logged in.


My question is how to make the author page visible to everyone, and hopefully without the new item alias?

We actually simply call JomSocial's router function to route the URL of the authors. If you disable the new menu alias that you have created, which menu alias does it use? Does it also behave the same within JomSocial?

hi,

If I disable the new menu item (make it for registered users only), It forwards the user to login page.

If I unpublishe the new menu item, it is OK now (but it wasn`t ok before i added the new menu item)

The same behavior applies to Jomsocial.

Sorry for late reply to this,
May i know which menu item you unpublished? So we can try to publish the menu item and try to investigate on this?
Also, I have tried to access in your Joomla backend, but i getting this : 
Warning

Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Please advise.
