Hello,

I am not able to get my 'Detect my Location' during user registration to work even after I added the Google API keep in general settings > location.
Hey there,

- Google Static Maps API
- Google Maps JavaScript API
- Google Maps Geocoding API
- Google Maps Geolocation API
- Google Maps Embed API

Please search for the above APIs and ensure that you had clicked 'Enable' in API Libary.

Based on what I researched, Google requires users who use their API key to add a billing account in order to access the full set of services and increased usage limits.

You can enable it by going to 'Billing' in your navigation menu, https://console.developers.google.com/billing.

It seems that when I was trying to access your backend, it gave me '404 Page Not Found'.

If the issue still persists, perhaps you can provide us with your Google access credentials so that we can have a further checking on this.

Hello,

I changed the secure level of the URL from http to https. Please use https to the URL and you should be fine. If not, I can send you an email with all the credentials again. I added all the API and I am still getting no results. See the attached screenshot.

it seems like Google return me this following error when i trying to search location map.

Geocoding Service: This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized to use this API key. Request received from IP address 60.52.64.189, with referer: https://test.changingflames.com/index.php/login/registration/steps/1 For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Perhaps for now temporary disabled that restricted key setting from your site backend and see how it goes.

If the issue still persists, can you add my email address arlex.wong@stackideas.com into your current project so I can take a look your current configuration setting?

It worked after I disabled the Restrict API. Thanks. You may now close this thread.
