Details of new members being recorded, notifications sent, but do names do not appear on members page and cannot be found by searching

I have a website forum that has only just started to attract members, but once the front page of the members section was filled a new page didn't start but registrations continued.

Users details appear in the admin records but are not displayed and cannot be found by searching.
Hey Stuart,

The reason that these user's aren't appearing is because these user's account are not enabled. You can actually view them at Joomla's user's listing page.

I enabled the account "Nidia Gallo" and the user appears on the members page

I had already found the list of users and have seen that Nidia Gallo appears as a member now, but I cannot see how you have effected that change,

How do you enable a registration?

Hey Stuart,

Go to your user's list in Joomla and you should see a column that says "Enabled". You just need to ensure to enable them

By the way, I believe those user's are actually spammers?

You are most welcome Stuart Since your site requires "manual activation", I believe these spammers aren't activating their account.

Why it seems fishy is because of their email address / usernames are really weird.
