This is not an issue with our dropdowns. Your plugin / template is actually replacing the dropdowns by adding a dropdown plugin and the dropdown is not working altogether. If you try to click on the dropdown, there is no way to hide it again.

Please check if you can turn off such features from the template.

I found out that it was the smart search module, which I was using in the main nav.
The problem is that I would prefer using easy social search module, but I don't get it to fit to my template.

Unfortunately this is not something we could assist you with The module / template is enforcing the entire site's dropdown to be converted to a special kind of dropdown.
