You should check your demo site ...

Only tested with Safari trying to quickly create an article the media manager is very buggy !

- no uploading
or
- upload error under thumbnail

- error message when creating a category in media manager :you are creating a category in a category that does not exist

- cannot insert shared media

- thumbnail of media does not display when selecting a media

_ ...

have no time at the moment to test further
Looks like someone did a sloppy job with the permissions on the demo site I have fixed this now, and it should work fine. Can you give this a try again?

By the way, there are no categories in the media manager. Am I missing anything here?

Please see here if article still exists...
My article test

- I can now upload and also create (media) categories in the media manager

- YouTube embed code: the video is not fluid. Here I find it important to make the media fluid because you can adjust the settings (no cookie, ?controls=0&showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen ...)

- Youtube share code is fluid but you cannot use the video settings

- How do you set the table columns widths ?

- The image caption can be modified inline (when displaying the article you can directly access and modify the image caption)

Hi,

Regarding the Youtube embedded code, actually, it is designed to use the predefined width and height from the embed code itself. However, these embedded video's properties can be edited. Click toggle html from your editor and you can place your adjustment.

Regarding this,
Youtube share code is fluid but you cannot use the video settings

Im not sure what do you mean by this. Can you please elaborate more on this so that we can understand you better. By the way, EasyArticles uses Redactor as its default editor. If you wish to change the editor, you may do it so via backend configuration. JCE editor might have alot more options compared to Redactor.

Regarding table column, currently there is no available option from EasyArticles to change the width. You have to edit it through html by toggling from your editor.

About this,
The image caption can be modified inline (when displaying the article you can directly access and modify the image caption)

I cannot understand you well. Do you wish to have this feature? By default, Joomla and your template is the one responsible for displaying your articles.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

About youtube,
what I miss in ALL stackideas component is an effective option to turn on the confidentiality feature but 1st of all TURN OFF the related videos (an option in the administration to do this - this is missing in EB5 ED ES)!
I want to display one video but I don't want related videos at the end that will make visitors - possibly - leave the page to go to youtube !!!

About image caption,
it is possible to edit the image caption inline even if your are not author or moderator/publisher
If you reload the page; the caption returns to the original...

....a picture might help:

Hi there,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I believe what you're asking is a feature request of adding an option to disable Youtube related videos displayed once the video finished playing. Can you create a new ticket for this future request and place it under feature request option. https://stackideas.com/forums/easyarticles/feature-requests . We'll see of we can implement it later in the future releases.

Regarding the image caption, user shouldn't be able to edit the image caption when viewing the article. I believe this is a bug and we'll fix this in the next coming release.

Thank you and have a wonderful day ahead.
