For EasyDiscuss's Ban User(Ban Post Owner) feature, what it does is it bans the post owner of the post and the post owner will not able to create questions and replies in Easydiscuss for the time duration that you set.

For Joomla's Ban User feature which is at Backend > Users > choose the user that you want > disable the column 'Enabled', what it does is it blocks the user account so the user will not able to login into the site.

Hi, Is it possible to automatically delete the posts or responses of users who are banned.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to do that currently.

Imagine if there is one moderator bans the User A which is a user in the site accidentally and his/her all posts and questions have been deleted. I believe this will be caused a big problem to the site because all posts and questions of User A have been deleted and can't be restored.
