Hello, how to erase all the contents of a community account at one time, without deactivating the account? Thank you.
Christian

Merci.
Christian
Hey Christian,

It's not possible to just delete the content of the user only as you need to delete the account as well. The only way around this is for you to delete the user altogether and re-create the user account again.

OK.

In France and Europe, we have a special regulation called RGPD or GDPR (General Regulation on Data Protection), if I am asked to erase a part, in a claim of a user, I will not be able to do it, and I could not respect this regulation. Because the only solution is to delete the account, which may cause me problems later with my users. You should take note of it for a future quick update.

The regulation RGPD or GDPR asks to remove only the part that has been put in claim by a user. So if I delete the entire account of the user I am wrong compared to the regulations.

Hello Christian,

This does not make any sense at all. When removing all their information, it should include the e-mail address, username and password that you have. Certainly if a user wants to have their data removed, that includes their account. There is no way to remove their information without removing their account.

All our extensions are GDPR compliant. Your users can request for their account to be deleted and by doing so, all their contents and their account will be deleted.

Therefore I really do not see this as a problem.

Hello, you did not understand what I meant about GDPR. In regulation, a user can inform me that there is a text that is contentious. If this proves correct, after verification, I must delete it. I need to delete the text, but not the user account. Since I am responsible for everything that is published on my site, and I risk a fine.

Hey Christian,

What you are saying is selective deletion which is absolutely possible in EasySocial or any of our extension as a matter of fact. All the user needs to do is to contact you to send you the location that has these problems and you can manually delete the item either through the back end or the front end

Hello, yes that's a selective deletion. Could you show me how we do this in the backend and the frontend? if you have a video to show me this, it will be nice. Thank you

Merci

Hey there,

I would suggest that the best way to do all these is at the backend.

Example, if you want to delete a specific blog post, you can go to Backend > EasyBlog > Posts > search for the specific blog post that required by the user > select it and delete it as shown in the video.

Hey there,

Hello, thanks for the video for easyblog, but do you have one for easysocial, because my question was for easysocial. Thank you

Example, if you want to delete a specific/ certain multiple stream items, you can go to Backend > EasySocial > Activity Streams > Activity Streams > select the stream item that requested by your user to delete > select 'Trash' as shown in the video.
