Default Value on Mandatory Group Fields not saving when back-end editing

UPDATE: I got this working... So post can be left resolved / deleted as you see fit!

I'm trying to edit my group category (I've only got 1) in the back-end. I want to set the 'Default Value' of the 'News' custom field to OFF... I can toggle the switch but it won't save the setting (noticed the same issue with 'Discussions' custom field too)

Can you replicate / work out a fix for that?

Also whilst I'm here for consistency I think the 'News' custom field should be called 'Announcements' to match the front-end language?

I can get it working now... Had to move the mandatory fields to the first 'page' of my custom fields section and that seemed to work.
