Default post category is a container

Hi,

I got a problem with some dummy users on our forum. The first category in list when you post a new question is a container. When you hit ask a question this category container is selected by default even if it's impossible to post in it.

When user don't change this value and click on post nothing happens (no error message). I think the default element in the lit should be "select category" not the first one.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't FTP access is not installed, just SSH that give access to the whole website. Though, you can create a free account and see what I mean from frontend.
It seems you already have an account with ID: arlexwong

I've tested in my locally, it seems like that was bug, by right the system shouldn't allow to set category container as default category, I will lock this issue into our issue tracker.

To temporary solve this, is it can set one of the category non-container as default category?

OK thanks, I just see you can setup a default category, it should do the trick for the moment.
The best would have be to keep the dropdown list on "Select category" because you you have a warning that handle that in this case.

Thanks for updating Tristan By the way, try to not "apply" hacks on EasyDiscuss 3.x so that you will have a smoother transition from 3.x to 4.x . The reason is because EasyDiscuss 4.x has a major revamp and it's extremely fast and lightweight too =))))

Yep, I have not been sleeping well because of EasyDiscuss 4. Javascript footprint is as small as 60kb with jquery turned off

Super excited and hope to see you guys use it!
