How do i change the default cover photo?
Hello Antonio,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've checked your image file inside /templates/[TEMPLATES]/html/com_easysocial/covers/user and it seems like you image type is .png instead of .jpg. I've rename the cover file into .jpg and the cover photo is displaying correctly now.

Hope these help

Hi,

Currently the default cover photo is hardcoded to /media/com_easysocial/defaults/covers/

You can't ....every time you update EasySocial you have to upload your default cover again

Hello Darko,

Yes, it will change back to default cover again when you update to latest version of Easysocial.

Hi... I learned to change my default cover photo from this thread but its not working anymore and I followed instructions from a recent thread saying to change it here: /templates/<YOUR_JOOMLA_TEMPLATE>/html/com_easysocial/covers/user/default.jpg and that still didn't work I even downloaded the (cover.php) from that same thread and placed it where it was suppose to go. I'm still not having any luck. What am I doing wrong? I use to be able to change it every time I made an update, I hope this will be correct to only have to do it once in ES1.4

Hi Antonio,

I am sorry for the late reply.

Can you try put this file in your site here: .../administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/cover.php and see if this fixed your issue. This is just a temporary fix and please backup this file first before updating EasySocial to the latest. I will forward this issue to our developer to have a proper fix in EasySocial.

Hope this help and I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Hi Antonio,

Can you provide us with your backend access and FTP access so that we can apply the fix directly on your site.

Please advise.

Hi after the latest update my default cover photo changed back to the EasySocial default cover photo and I've tried every way I was taught to change it back but they aren't working. Can someone tell me how to change it back?

Hello Antonio,

As long as the cover photo is stored in/templates/TEMPLATE_NAME/html/com_easysocial/covers/user/default.jpg, EasySocial will use this as the default cover instead (Provided that the user did not set a photo cover yet)
