Hello there,

I would like to know about applied rules of ES when switching profile types.

For example, what is the default behavior, I mean, what happens when a site admin (or a membership tool) downgrade profile type of a user to a profile type with low access (no page, no group, no event creation allowed)? Do downgraded users drop from ownership of pages, groups, events that they created in previous profile type? What happens to pages, groups, events they created?

Thanks and best regards,

Zafer
Hi Zafer,
Switching a user's profile type should not affect the ownership of the items created by the user. If the new profile type does not allow group creation for example, this just means that the user will not be able to create new groups.

Hi Raymond,
Thanks for your answer.
Concerning membership model, I think that it may be considered as a problem for some site admins. Because we will not sell only access, but also ownership, ownership of a page, of a group; maybe an event is not neccessary to consider in this point of view.
To me, changing profile type should effect ownership, especially of pages and groups.

Hey Zafer,
Do note that currently ownership can be changed manually in the backend for cluster items(http://take.ms/PocKT).
However, since we currently do not have the feature of automating ownership changes, perhaps you can post this in EasySocial's feature request category to expose other users on the idea.
If you need this urgently and require us to perform the customization for you, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customizations that you have requested.
