Hi, I have the default category set and I understand that it need to be public as the composer does not work if I disable primary category but it is fine for quick post as it seems that quick post allows you to select category after it loads.

1.) Quick post is better method as I do Not want my users to post into a default category ( this is for admin posts! ), they should be able select category after composer loads.

2.) In default category I can select by group, why does it not still work if I restrict posting only, I guess the same reason as above.

I guess we never really noticed the issue prior version that did not have composer.

3.) Is it possible to restrict the amount of categories a user can select to 1?

Hello trevori,

I'm sorry but can you elaborate more on your first and second question? Perhaps, a step-by-step on how to reproduce the issue. You might want to provide us your backend and FTP access so that we can troubleshoot it on your site.

3.) Is it possible to restrict the amount of categories a user can select to 1?
- It is not possible to restrict the user to select only one category.

Hello Trevori,

Ah, I see. Once you set it as default category, you can't prevent other user from posting in it. That is how composer works. Why don't you change the default category to other category and for the category that you want to only admin can use it, don't make it default.

Ok I understand, I just wanted to prevent users from posting in default category as well as the correct category.

You see by forcing a default category they have no choice because default is always selected, I know that users can unselect default but I have a lot of users that would not change the category selection when posting.

Hey Trevor,

I believe the user should learn to change the category and it really isn't that difficult at all. It's more of being disciplined
