Which doing regular maintenance i found that the table " *_easyblog_mailq " is almost 150mb in size, can you please explain why this table is so large.

What i could understand that this is a log for mail queue for sending mail to subscribers of blogs, but once the email is sent this should empty? right?

Is it safe to empty this database manually?

regards
Hi Sunny,

This " *_easyblog_mailq " table actually reflects the Mail Activities page in your EasyBlog backend. This table would not clear mails that are sent. We have functions on the top of that page which lets you Delete, Purge Sent, or Purge All. You can use these functions to maintain the table. If you choose to purge all, make sure the unsent mails are sent first. Hope this helps.

Thanks raymond,

Got the concept, we have to do manually, did not realize that.

On second thoughts, would'nt it be better if the sent mails records are deleted from the DB on their own.?

regards

Hi Sunny,
Currently we do not have an automatic process to clear off sent emails from Mail Activities page, but this is something we can consider in Easyblog 5.1.
