Hey guys, on facebook I got a whole bunch of feeds from organisations that are on facebook and that i Liked and Followed.

Issue with my future community is that those won't be signing up to it. How then do i get any type of feeds to the members that would be interested.
Thank you.
Hey Ben,

Hm, not entirely sure if I understand you here. Would you mind elaborating more on this please?

Hmm..how can i describe it.
Everyone has some sort of a group/page/business/organisation that is following or has clicked their Like Page buttom
This means that when these organisations etc post something on their wall, the people that follow them (or liked their page) will also get their post. Surely you know what i mean .

These type of posts are also shared which means even people not following these organisations (etc) will see their posts.
It's a way of being informed of what's happening around.

See attached example.

I think i got your meaning now, perhaps I explain this way, you might be understand the current default behaviour of the system.

I believe you will realised when you create a new group/event/page on your EasySocial page, you can select which privacy type you would like to submit to, for example Group :

Open Group
-> When the user create a new group under this Open Group, everyone can able to see inside the group activities stream as well.

Closed Group
-> When the user create a new group under this Closed Group, they can't able to see those activities stream inside this group, they have to join the group become group member, then they can able to see those activities stream.

Invite Only Group
-> When the user create a new group under this Invite Only Group, this will be same as Closed group type.

Hope this explanation will help.

Thanks for your attempt Arlex.
I am referring to organisations and groups that are not registered on our site.

Those organisations will never sign up on our site and post stuff as they are already doing it on Facebook.
This is a Romanian site so living in Australia it would be nice to have some feeds come through to our site that would be related to us Romanians.
Do you get what i mean?

I was thinking if those certain organisations have RSS feeds set up then maybe we could feed them through to my site.
Or something similar.

Hey Ben,

Hm, the RSS feed import doesn't really import status updates on Facebook unless Facebook generates an RSS feed link that can be consumed by the public (which I hardly doubt so)

One good example for the feeds:

1. I signed up on your site.

2. I want to showcase blog posts which I have written on stackideas.com. I could setup the rss feed app in EasySocial to retrieve posts which was written on stackideas.com on my profile page

Is this clearer to you now?
