Hi Stackideas team,

we've installed the latest version of EasyBlog.
Now we've a problem with the dashboard display.

After using the menu links of the dashboard (Return to blogs, Overview, Post, Drafts, Comments, Categories, and so on) all modules of our website will be displayed.

Also the "EasyBlog Welcome Module" on the right sidebar will be displayed, after using the menu links.

We din't change the menu assigment of the modules. In the former version of EasyBlog it works without problems.

How can we fix it?

We've add two images in the attachments.

Best regards.
Stefan
Hello Stefan,

This is odd. Can you provide us with backend and ftp access so that we are able to check on this issues.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hi mohdyasseribz,

thank you for your answer.

We think we've discover the problem.

In the former version of EasyBlog all menu links link to .../your-profil/dashboard/...

In the latest version of EasyBlog all menu links link to .../dashboard/...

The menu assigment of our modules are disabled for the page "your-profil".
So in the former version, all module will not be displayed, if you use the menu links.
Everthing works fine.

By your new used url for dashboard menu links in the latest version, our menu assigement rule doesn't work.
All modules will be displayed, because it should only be disabled for the section "your-profil".

A menu assignment for the page "dashboard" is not present in the settings of the modules.

How can we set the former url or add the page "dashboard" to the menu assignment of our modules?

Best regards.
Stefan

Hi Arlex,

sorry, we can't give you backend access via forum. We think the problem is not the menu structure, because we haven't change anything their.
The trigger is the new dashboard url.

Best regards.

Hi Stackideas-support,

thanks for your answer. Please use the site details below. The site is a offline test version, in which we test new solutions, before we provide it to our users.
You can check this issue via backend and via frontend. For FTP, its possible to use the OSE Fileman extension.

To check it via frontend please use the "Blog now" menu link.

Maybee you can help us by another issue.

We've also install the latest version "EasyBlog Random Post Module".
In the latest version, the module display post, which will be marked as "featured" in the EasyBlog Backend.

Is it possible the change this new preference. For us, it would be advantageous, that the module display only random posts, ike in the former module version?

Best regards.
Stefan

P.S. We've seen, that you registered on our main site "joom-friends.com". We would be pleased, if you post your news on our site.

Hello Stefan,

If I understand you correctly, you didn't want to display all the menu in the /dashboard/ right? So, I have create a hidden menu for you and now it worked correctly. If you didn't mean this, can you explain it more, so that we are able to understand you correctly.

About the Random Blog Post Module, I believe it worked perfectly but we will check this module again since you complain this to us. Thank you.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.
