Hi,

where can i set that the dashboard shows only things to users within their network?
Hi Dennis,

1. did you activate the debug on the site? If so, please disable everytime you are done

Ah my bad. I sorry for not reverting the debug setting on your site. Look like you've already disabled the debug mode on your site. Thanks.

2. what does this mean exactly "Show Friend Lists Filter"? Are that the friend lists from their own (if so) created friend lists? Or from the whole community?

In EasySocial, you can actually create a friend list of your selective friends from your EasySocial. Once the friend list is created, EasySocial will actually display a 'friend list' filter in your dashboard. This friend list filter will display the stream item that created by the friends you've specified in that particular friend list

Hope this help and have a nice day!

The dashboard as i know in the past could be set, that only activities from the own network/contacts are shown.
Or there was the option to show all activities from the whole community, wether they are connected or not.

There are actually no such settings / restrictions. It all depends on the user's privacy on whether their stream items would appear for everyone or their friends only.

Curious..., anyway this kind of restriction is highly needed.

PS: btw. its standard in any social site i know like linkedin, xing....
Think about, if you have hundreds of users and the dashboard shows all their activities- it makes no sense for the single user, cause it has no relation to their interests...

You can configure to show by default the friend's timeline only instead of everyone. In fact, it all boils down to the user's privacy as well. If they decide to show their stream items to everyone, then it should be listed in everyone's filter.

On top of that, you can set the default filter to friends only, and turn off the everyone filter.

What do you mean with " On top of that, you can set the default filter to friends only, and turn off the everyone filter. "?
Is there a way to lock the privacy settings? So that the user can only use the settings the admin sets? Or minimum that the user has only a certain few privacy options for each setting available?

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

What do you mean with " On top of that, you can set the default filter to friends only, and turn off the everyone filter. "?

What Mark means actually the setting from your EasySocial backend under Themes -> [select your theme] -> Dashboard the 'show everyone feed filter'. Please see http://screencast.com/t/uj4LSn3Ld

Regarding the user's privacy, I believed I've explained to you on the privacy's limitation in http://stackideas.com/forums/share

Hope this help and have a nice day!
