Hello I just wondered,, is it fair to sell a product which suggests various features, transparency in the process and a time scale offering features shortly only to have to constantly wait for these features to materialize.

no definitive answers, everything loose, so my translation of this is that by the time easysocial delivers everything which is offered to begin with my renewal will be calling to be paid again and I'll be no more forward then I should have been 4 or by then 6 months ago.

I've all but since stopped developing my site as the dangling carrots dont look so juicy anymore and I've looked into enough trickery of this world to realize that I and others have been sold a promise and thats about it, which is fine I'm all for a good promise but I'm disheartened by the transparent process which is really frosted glass.

so without going on to much I'm sure there are those of you who appreciate my point.

I just hope something magical is pulled out of the hat soon to restore my faith and hopefully not just some fluffy rabbit
Hello Jason,

Thanks, and appreciate it very much and I will come clean here. I do admit that our slow-ness in delivering EasySocial 1.3 is simply due to the reasons that we also had to perform a major revamp of EasyBlog 4.0 and we don't just want to add minor updates in EasyBlog and ditch it because it was a long overdue for EasyBlog. We needed to take some time off to push EasyBlog 4.0 to the next level so that we can continue pushing greater updates in EasySocial 1.4 onwards

I do understand that most of you would be having the thought of increasing more manpower to handle the situation currently but to be honest with you, we tried and we realized that adding more people on the boat right now would only slow things down because we have to teach them how to row "our" boat. It's not easy to be on our boat

None of my business but I think you are being a little hard. Software is developed by humans and humans are also flawed. I have probably used 100+ programs on a day to day basis in the last 10 years and they all fall down at some point. Maybe you could be more constructive than saying I want a rabbit As amazing as Mark and his team are I do not think that they can give you a rabbit… Also think about if there are other solutions that you can combine with Stack Ideas. to get what you want...

There is no "Wollmilchsau" that I have found to date:

Hello Jason,

First off, I really appreciate your feedback here and as the leader here, I too am a little concerned over the timeframe that we need to continuously release new updates.

However, there are a couple of things that you need to understand as a smart consumer. You are paying a small fee for a huge piece of software and apart from just the software, you are also getting premium support out of it. If you really do a cost calculation, the amount that you pay is enough to justify the support that you received from our team.

Not to mention that there's a lot of resources being allocated to optimize the base codes and the stream especially. Till today, we are still finding ways to optimize the stream so that you as the site owner would have better sleep at night while most of my guys are pushing their 150% to ensure that you get good sleep at night

Renewing your subscription is NOT just about getting updated software. You are also getting the same premium support that we have been offering. I dare to say that our support quality has always been top notch. Look at how other companies are handling their support and charging support based on the number of tickets that you submit to them.

As for the transparency, I am not really sure what would make you think that we are not being transparent. I have been very transparent about the entire update process since day 1 we built EasySocial. We have never hidden anything from our customers apart from quite a number of features that we did not initially disclose to give you guys a surprise

Regardless of the above, I still feel you and I too am concern over this. We have been having a couple of team meeting to address this by finding out our flaws / issues or perhaps the way we work. If you don't believe me, you could ask the support guys here

Thank you for understanding!

Mark, your support is top notch.
I also see that many problems people face are due to other plugins, or failure to rtfm, yet still you guys assist willingly and courteously.

Were not paying $50,000 for a bespoke application, and most developers charge $120 hour minimum.

Hang in there Jason, its better to drive a finely tuned mini than a dodgy porsche.

Btw, Wollmilchsau... wtf?... that would make an amazing barbeque

Hello I have to add that i have nothing against the team or support offered as it is the best i've had yet and pleasant to deal with.

I am simply having an opinion, there are I'm sure many that have spent time working with jomsocial who moved to easysocial thinking it would quickly replace jomsocial that have in some ways come up against similar issues, along with not having some features such as videos & events.

In time I feel all will be well, its just not happened as fast as I first thought it would when I signed up due to there being a delay in updating the road map, thats why i'm a little disheartened because i got the wrong impression from info provided but i understand delays and 6 months from now I think things will be very different.

I realize the subscription is paying for support, my point is that sometimes it seems like that support is paying to fix or wait for things that should already work or be included.

but anyway i still have high hopes for the future so am looking forward to see how things are looking towards the end of the year.

I'm not trying to slate easysocial as a bad program or anything, just saying how I feel, it all adds to the creative process somewhere along the lines so am sure the team wont mind or take offence at my comments as they are not malicious in nature.
