Anyone there? Maybe I posted this in the wrong area?

Hey Jeromy,

I am curious about the use of this. I think this would collide a lot with the main stream having in group stream a different button to the like button. Let's say you put a stream item into a group where you have "agree" instead of "like". Now someone inside the group "agrees" and what happens to the stream item of the main stream? A new item will be created inside the main stream that someone agreed and now someone can like this?
If you know all places where you had to make customizations I think it might be possible to add an additional button but that would probably be a sitewide one and not for specific groups then because of the consequences inside the main stream...

Thanks for the response. Yes, I hadn't thought it through as far as you did, but site wide would be sufficient at this point. Also I agree that the custom reactions per group does sound like it could get overly complicated with not much benefit for the complexity it could add.

Do you know of a guide or forum post that would point me in the right direction?

Well, I am no programmer just a try and error guy. But from a former customization I made maybe I would start here:

components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/stream/actions/default.php

But I think it will not be as easy, because the new button needs to put information into the database for a table that does not exist yet...

We also need to add more then 6 reactions icons (or use less).

Would also love to see more options for reactions.
