Hi guys

We have been trying to add custom links into our submenu for a while now but nothing is working, we're using straight HTML a hrefs to add in links to some of our groups we have setup. We would like the sub menu to look something like the attached image.

The PHP file we have been trying to edit is the default.php in the following location: .../public_html/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar

Can you help us get this sorted please?

Thanks a lot,
Katie
Which version of EasySocial are you currently on because the wireframe on the latest version of EasySocial looks different. If you are on EasySocial 2.1, the file that you are modifying is the correct file. Perhaps if you can upload the file here, we'll take a look at it.

Hi Mark,

We're on version 2.2.2 - so what is the correct file I should be editing for this version of EasySocial?

Thanks a lot,
Katie

Hi Katie,

This is how the toolbar looks in EasySocial version 2.2.2(http://take.ms/iN0va).

The toolbar in your screenshot is from ES 2.1.

If you have previously template override the toolbar theme file from version 2.1(http://take.ms/zuy8S), you should take a look at the 2.2.2 version file at ../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php and modify your overrides based on the newer codes.

Hi Raymond,

Weird as if you see attached the screenshots I am on version 2.2.2 and have the theme breeze activated and yet I have a different menu? Why is this?

Thanks for your help.

Hey Katie,

I see. Thanks for the info. Different themes have their own toolbar/default.php file, thus they look different in other themes.

Since you are using Breeze theme, you would have to template override the theme file from Breeze itself, not Wireframe.

This is the original file path for Breeze's toolbar theme file.
../components/com_easysocial/themes/breeze/toolbar/default.php

Hey Katie,

You can apply the override by modifying the theme file from EasySocial's themes section(http://take.ms/GSWrF).

You would have to add the code after polls(http://take.ms/vkY0B, http://take.ms/Fo7u1).

Hey Deidre,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Perhaps you can start a new thread on our forum and describe what is your current issue so we can better have a check.
