I am trying to use the Frontpage blog menu layout and would like to make a few changes to the post layouts but can't seem to figure out how to do it in the settings or menu set up.

1. On the Frontpage I would like to turn off the avatars, if possible. The site will have multiple bloggers and not all will use avatars and I'm not keen on the blank person avatar showing on the front page. Or is it possible to use either a custom avatar or category avatar when a blogger has chosen not to use an avatar?

2. In addition is there a way to move the continue reading to a different position perhaps right under the intro or else make it more prominent (bold or coloured text perhaps). I have more problems with people who can't seem to find anything if you don't make it very very obvious.

Thanking you in advance for your reply.
Hello Anne Marie Rasmussen,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Please find your answer in your queries below.

>> Yes, you can disable it from your backend > Easyblog > themes > select your theme > Show Avatars on frontpage - NO

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look? Please advise.

I don't think you guys ever sleep! I consider a late reply a couple of days later and it is the weekend already I think for you?

I admit I never thought of checking the theme for settings!

For the 2nd question I have sent the site details.

Hi,

Now that you have pointed me to the theme customisation I have turned off several other settings and only the "continue reading" link is showing so I think that will be ok. Though I wouldn't mind making the "continue reading" bold if that is not too much trouble.

I must have copied the password wrong. I changed the password and it works now.

As you are probably in bed now (you sound like you have the same hours as I do!) I'll assume you mean the site's template and make the change there. Good night!

OK have tried to add the code to the template's css file and it didn't seem to make any difference. FYI It is not critical to make the text bold.

Hello Anne Marie Rasmussen,

I have tried to access again in your Joomla backend, it seems like I'm still hitting the same error.
I have applied the code in your JoomlaFolder//templates/purity_iii/css/template.css , can you clear Joomla/template/browser cache only view your site and see how it goes?

By the way, can you provide us again with your valid SuperAdmin access in your Joomla backend as well?

Hello Anne Marie Rasmussen ,

I think you need to consult with your Template provider how to add the css custom code in your template? Because it seems like your template need to compile the stylesheet again, then the browser only can get new CSS code if apply the new css code.

It is JA's Purity iii template which is free. Not sure they offer support for it. I will have to go through the documentation to see how to do it. I think it has to do with the T3 framework which is not exactly the easiest to work with. Would have preferred to get another template but it was the only one that I could get to look like I wanted and worked with Easyblog. Thanks for the help and if I can get it to work I'll let you know!

Hello Anne Marie Rasmussen ,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here and couldn't help much you here, because I'm not familiar with the T3 framework. I only can provide the CSS block code so that you can apply in your template if everything is work.
Okay, keep us updated then.
