Customisable registration

Say I customise registration so I get all the information I want .. and it's a lot more than standard registration ..

where does this information show up for other users to view and can any of them be linked to something else ... i.e. the dropdown option; can I link that to a specific page or URL?

Sorry but not too sure if I understand you here but when you are viewing another person's profile, clicking on the "About" link would display all the information that they have entered (Provided that the privacy permits it).

Okay, so the data they add can be displayed, great.

But if one of the drop down boxes in the registration process is say; where do you live, can we somehow link all users that say they live in England into one group or those that say they live in France, in another ...
