Hi,

I have created a custom theme for certain categories in my easyblog. These categories are populated by feeds and so don't come with their own blog images. I want to use the placeholder image for these category posts. On my main pages I use full width images, but in this custom theme I want small thumbnail size images to the left of the text. I have added the following code to my nomad/css/custom.css

div#fd.eb-view-entry .eb-post-image{
float: left !important;
width: 30% !important;
}

But this has no effect.

Also, is it possible in the custom theme to have an alternative placeholder image (I am thinking I can create a custom theme for each of my special categories and set individual placeholder images)

Kind regards

Mel
Hello Mel,

To be honest, I am not entirely sure what you are referring to here as I cannot access the site nor the ftp with the provided login credentials

Hi Mark,

thanks for response and sorry for delay. Please ignore, I thought about it and it doesn't need an image. I just need some way of making the layout look better for text only posts that come in from feeds.

I am now using nomad theme for these posts and they look great. The only thing is that the Front page menu link pages for these sections don't look as good. I have looked through all the settings for the menu links but they don't seem to allow me to change to the nomad layout. If I could do this they it would be perfect. If you see the 2 links \i have posted in the private site details bit on here, you will see what I mean.

Is there a way of changing the frontpage layout for individual menu links to use nomad?

Kind regards

Mel

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Sometime is strange, Can you list down which file you modified or template override?

Because based on what I see your frontpage it only load Wireframe css instead of Nomad theme css.

Also can you re-check again with your Joomla backend and FTP login credentials? Because it still not working for us.

This is what we hitting now :

// Joomla backend
Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

// FTP acces
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

Hi Arlex,

I think I am confusing you. I am using wireframe for my main blogs so I have changed the theme to nomad as I only wanted to use nomad on those sections I pointed you too. I am guessing the frontpage can only be one theme and this is why i cannot change it just for one or 2 menu links?

I have enabled the logins now so they should work

Hi Mel,
If you want to change the theme for Easyblog to 'nomad', you can do so by setting 'nomad' as the default theme in the Themes section of EasyBlog.
If you only want certain posts to have the nomad theme(http://take.ms/3tmRy), then unfortunately this is not possible.
If I'm still misunderstanding your question, let us know. Thanks.
