Hello I am receiving Google AMP errors whenever I add an email address into a blog. It is saying there is customs script where there shouldn't be.

I have attached a screen shot and added the URL to the exact page with the issue.

It seems that Easyblog automatically knows when a email address is used and adds the mailto to the address however Google doesn't seem to like the script that goes along with this.
Hey there,

Can you please edit your first post at the top and include the following access please?

- Site Admin access (Please ensure that the user has super admin access)

- FTP access (We need this because if we use a file manager in Joomla, there are times where we have a typo and this might eventually break your entire back end and front end for instance if we are editing a system plugin). There is no way to save the site unless we have the ftp access.

Hello is there a reason you need this information? I would rather not give you this kind of access as it a clients site.

This must be a known issue and can be resolved by giving me instruction to resolve it.

Hi there,

Currently, we need to check your current blog structures as i am not sure how exactly you included those emails as it seems that you might using other components to integrate it on your site. It might be caused by that components as you cannot use <script type='text/javascript'> tag on your blog currently.

If you are using other components to include them, it would be best if you can consult with them regarding this and see how it goes. If not, it would be best if you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues.

Please advice.

The email addresses have just been typed into the blog using the block system of easyblog. They have not even been hyperlinked or any external plugin has been used to include them. Here is what the backend of Easyblog looks like.

Hi there,

Seems like this issues arise if you use "Content - Email Cloaking" and those plugin are developed by Joomla itself. Maybe you can refer here https://stackideas.com/forums/joomla-email-cloaking-and-amp-pages on how to solve this issues on your end.

You need to do full backup on this changes as it will get overridden on you do update on your Joomla. Please give it a try and see how it goes.

Hello, I just unpublished the cloaking plugin and now the issue has been resolved. However now the email addresses wont be protected against spambots. I cant believe Easyblog doesn't allow you to use email cloaking?

Hi there,

We do allow you to use email cloaking but the way email cloaking plugin injected their codes caused this issues to happen as AMP does not allow those scripts tag on their checking. So it is either you unpublished it or do some hack as you can see on referred link on my previous reply.

And those plugin are developed by Joomla itself and maybe you can open a ticket for them and reported them regarding this so that they can fixed this issues on their next update.

Thanks for your understanding.
