Hello, I do not understand what is the purpose: custom notifications

is it possible to disable some items in the list below custom notifications? And how to do it?

Thank You.

Christian
Hi Christian,

Custom notifications basically allows you to select which user group you want to send the post notification to.

This will override the global notification settings set in EasyBlog>Settings>Notifications, which is why it is called 'custom'.

Hey Christian,

The custom notification list do not appear in the settings area. It only appears in the composer area.

This allows the author to hand pick which user group to send the notification to for that particular post before publishing.

If you do not want to allow authors to select custom notifications, you can set this in the respective user group ACL(http://take.ms/14bU2).

Hey Christian,

What the option actually does is when users under the user group 'icagenda' create new posts, they will not see the 'custom notification' section at all in the composer.

OK. I will try to see if it works well. Another question: easy blog is not 100% translated into French. I would like to change the text (of the photo) by the joomla language substitutions. Could you give me the translation string of the text in photo so that I can translate it

Hey Christian,

You could edit your language file /language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_easyblog.ini and locate the translations below:

[gist]
COM_EASYBLOG_COMPOSER_CUSTOM_NOTIFICATIONS="Custom Notifications"
COM_EASYBLOG_COMPOSER_CUSTOM_NOTIFICATIONS_DESC="Determines which user group should be notified when the blog post is publish. Note that this will override any form of blog notification set from the admin settings."

Question: what is the difference between tags and category tags? (see picture)

Tags are tags and category tags allows you to predefine tags to be used when the user submits the post into a category. For instance, if you are writing a post about cars (category cars), you want to tag it as "automotive", "sports" etc without the user having to manually tag their posts.

So it's not worth typing tags in TAGS, it's better to enter them in the category?

It depends really. If you want to automate this, you could add it in the category. Otherwise, just leave it to your authors
