The idea of the profile system in EasyDiscuss is for it to be as simple as possible. If you want something more sophisticated, you should use EasySocial for a profile system

I wasn't looking for a profile system, and I already use EasySocial

The custom fields (for me) is a good way to require more information in an organized way, when asking a question in EasyDiscuss. You already went to the trouble of adding the extra fields (radios, dropdown, multi select), it just seems to be missing the option to make them required or not.

Oh, sorry I thought you were referring to the "edit profile" of EasyDiscuss. I remember reading a similar ticket, I guess it was created by someone else privately.

Anyway, I will try to add this in 4.0 but no promises

I am planning a big Easydiscuss/Wanderers project and am just curious what the timeline would be for a Beta of ED 4? No pressure of course, just trying to plan.

I would say we are currently near 60% right now and I am really hoping for a beta sometime this or next month! Of course, the sooner the better but there is a lot of refactoring going on with EasyDiscuss 4
