Is it possible to have more than one group of custom fields appear in a post with only one category?

I would like to segment fields, and this could be accomplished by using different groups, example below:

- General Description
Fields:
- Date:
- Where:
- Distance and Time:
- Total Ascent:

Group:
- Ratings:
Fields:
- Safety:
- Cultural:
- Exercise:


Group:
- Tips::
Fields:
1)
2)
3)
