Since Version 2.0.4 (before, 1.4.x) custom fields are not available in "miniregistration" (logbox).
We need "acymailing" (newsletter) in Miniregistration.

Best regards

Torsten.E
I also would like to include acymailing newsletter subscription in the mini registration.

How can i do this?

Thanks

Hey guys,

Unfortunately currently we do not have any setting to add different custom fields to show on mini registration in Easysocial 2, because we already standardised it only display those default fields from the mini registration form.

For now, you have to modify these following files to achieve this :
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/helpers/html/login.php
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/fields.php

You can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Thanks for the info Torsten.

And thanks Arlex for the guidance on making this work for now. Arlex, is there any intention of bringing this ability back in future versions/updates, to allow limited customisation of the mini registration form?

Cheers

Paul

You're welcome.

Hm, based on what i know currently we do not have any plan to bring this ability back in Easysocial 2.x.

Ok.

Would customisations to these files mentioned above be lost when doing an update?

Cheers

Yes, therefore you should use the built-in template editor at the back end of EasySocial to modify your files as it would automatically create a template override for you.

Alternatively, you can also use ftp to create template override files as outlined here, https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating/template-overrides

Thanks for that Mark

I've managed to locate the template editor and have created an override for helpers/html/login.php

However, I'm having difficulty tracking down the second file mentioned above in the list: models/fields.php

Which section in the template editor does this come under as I don't see a section called Model.

Thanks

Paul

Hey Paul,

Based on what i see currently we do not have the template override for this models/fields.php file yet.

But I will consult with your developer regarding this and see whether we can make it like only modify 1 file then achieve this.
