I have tried to change the format of the date field format to be d F Y instead of l, d F Y.

So, I expected the days of the week to stop being displayed and have only the date displayed.

I am using the Nickel theme now and have two and three column layouts that I am playing with.

Here are pages where you can see the dates displaying:

https://www.drcarney.com/blog

https://www.drcarney.com/blog/membersblog

The dates are displaying like this: Wednesday, 12 October 2016

Instead of like this: 12 October 2016

Is this how it is supposed to display when I select d F Y for the format?

This is where I set up this value through the pull down menu:

Components -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> Layout -> General -> Custom Fields -> Date field format

Thanks, Sean Carney
Hi Sean,

For the first post, I think you have misunderstood with the settings, actually the setting (omponents -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> Layout -> General -> Custom Fields -> Date field format) is for custom field, not for the date displaying in the blog listing.

I found instructions on another page to create an override and it looks good. Please let me know if there was a better way to do this. Here is the page with the instructions:

I was able to customize even more this way so I am happy.

-> Yes, that the easiest way to change the date format currently as we don't have the setting to change the date format in the listing currently
