Custom field Country

Hello,

I have problem with custom field "Country". Maybe I something miss or not add... this is reason why I ask you what must to do..
I add custom field Country on profile settings (attachment 1).
After saving and editing profile I cant select any country... Why?
I see that when edit this custom field, there is row "Data source" - I left selected "Regions Database" - maybe is something with this data source? There is also for select "File" but I dont know what this means.
I thought that I get automatically list of countries... So.. how I can get list of countries?

Hi there,

Maybe you can go to this path Backend>Components>Easysocial>Regions and click 'Initialise database' and see how it goes. Please advice.

Hello,

I find this and click "Initialise database". I get list of countries, states.. (attachment 1) so this is solved
Than I set in custom field Country that minimum and maximum selected countries is "1" (attachment 2) so at least 1 country user must select.
But after saving settings on backend this custom field (when editing profile) still dont work. I cant choose any country... (attachment 3). Is something what I must also set?

Hi there,

Based on my observations, it seems that, right you are using 'textboxlist', and you have to at least type one words on it, then it will shown you those countries as you can see here https://screencast.com/t/7rp2cJQ49KOd.

By the way, i would suggested you to change to 'dropdown' as it will easily understand and user can pick them easily as you can see here https://screencast.com/t/azBrPZLC9Pe.

If problems still persist, maybe you can provide us with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues.

Hi,

Yes I use "textboxlist" where you must type some letter that you get list of some countries.. I dont see this
You are right that probably is better that I use "dropdown" selecting.
