Hi there,

I have tried to load the countries list for ES from the countries.json file located in administrator area instead of the default regions database. Unfortunately it not reflecting the changes in the front end despite my repeated effort to clear both server and browser cache.

Could you kindly advise on that ?
Hi there,

Honestly, i am not really understand your requirement here actually. Did you meant that when your edited countries on regions' sections, it does not shown correctly on Frontend(on users fields) ?

Do provide us with more details if i understand you wrongly here. Please advice.

I'm running a multi-lingual site and instead of using the default regions database, I have opted for the file option located

JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR . '/components/com_easysocial/defaults/countries.json

now the problem is that all the countries are in English and was hoping to translate them and make them available multilingual.

hope this clarifies,

Warmest,

Hi there,

Currently it is not possible to achieve this actually You will need to do some modifications in order to achieve this. Can you try upload attached files at this path .../media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/user/country/themes/default/content.php and edit them directly here http://take.ms/3kWgl(on the regions section by clicking those countries).

For example, you need to create a unique strings for them, as for example, com_easysocial_country_afghanistan and included them on your language override files. then included them during editing those countries as you can see below.

Language override(for both backend and frontend)
http://take.ms/YzrbQ

Countries
http://take.ms/AqXJS

You will need to do backup on this files as it will be overridden on your next update and apply them accordingly once you update your Easyocial. Please give a try and see how it goes.
