Custom Field / Autocomplete - Data not saving

Hello,

Under Custom Field > Workflow > Members, I've added custom field 'Auto Complete' for 3 fields:
- Title
- Company
- School

However, when I enter data on the front-end the data I enter does not save. (There is no data that populates, as well. I was assuming that data entered is what creates the future auto-complete).

Dropdown list -

Also, is there a way to upload many fields for your dropdown lists such as years from 1930-2025? Or do I have to enter each option manually? (see attached screenshot)
Hi Meagan,

For the autocomplete field, actually you have to first save the possible autocomplete results in the custom field setting(http://take.ms/4Fhew).

Also, whatever data that is entered in the autocomplete field will not be saved unless one of the autocomplete choices is selected(http://take.ms/QDxgo).

Dropdown:
Yes you would have to enter the options manually. Alternatives that you can consider are textboxes or datetime custom fields, although they have their own restrictions as well.

Autocomplete - It would be great if the autocomplete data was updated by the user entering new data in the front-end. As it stands, we would be limiting this field to titles that we've heard of without being able to capture new titles, as well.

Dropdown - It would be great if we could upload a list (such as date range over 60 years) instead of having to manually enter that information.

As it stands, we would be limiting this field to titles that we've heard of without being able to capture new titles, as well.
Perhaps you can use the textbox custom field for now since the autocomplete field is not able to store data that is not pre-stored.
It would be great if we could upload a list (such as date range over 60 years) instead of having to manually enter that information.
Currently I do not recall anyone requesting this feature. Perhaps you can post this or the autocomplete feature in EasySocial's feature requests category so we can better gauge user's requests for the feature.
